Used Cars for Sale – Buying Guide
Article by Dev Mishra
Due to the worldwide economic recession, more and more numbers of people are choosing to buy quality used cars for sale instead of new cars. The reason is obvious. The new cars are much more expensive than the second hand cars. Also, the other expenses such as insurance premiums, taxes etc are more on new cars compared to used cars. Another major drawback of buying a new car at the time of recession is their high depreciation rate, which is as high as 30% to 50%. Therefore, if you decide to sell off the car after a few years, it will fetch you a quite lower amount. That ways, buying a used car proves to be more cost effective than investing your money in a new car.Whenever you plan to buy a used car from a reliable and reputed car sales company, you need to remember that buying a used car is quite different from buying a new one and you need to arrive at a conclusion after considering several important things. Ignoring these things can lead to a wrong purchase, which can cause you a lot of disappointment and frustration later on.The very first things that you need to consider while planning to buy a used car are your own needs, preferences and budget. Next take the help of the internet or a price guide to find the present rates of different cars in the market. Knowing the latest price of a car is very important before you go and buy it. For instance, if you are interested in purchasing Subaru cars, you need to know their expected price, so that you do not end up paying more.Once you have decided which car to buy, look out for information about leading car sales dealers who have to offer the best deals on the car of your choice. It is essential that you do not buy the car from the very first dealer whom you visit. Buy a car after visiting two or more dealers, check out the condition of the cars that they have to offer, collect quotes, compare the deals with each other and find the best deal available. Finally, before buying a used car for sale, it is important that you check its condition and performance thoroughly. You need to check everything right from the body of the car to its engine and tires, so that you can find out damages and defects, if any. It will be good if you can take the car on a test drive.

good work dude! man, i wish i could commit to something like that, but living in a place like where i do, there’s no public transport with easy access. it just makes everything so bloody difficult, and if i ever need to get to sydney (which i do quite frequently), it’s a good 2 hours from my place using public transport while in a car, it can be done in a little over an hour.
good luck to you though, and a tremendous amount of respect too!

Awesome! We don’t have a car at the moment either. Between work and kids we’ll have to get one, but trying now to decide how small/green we can manage.

I agree it’s hard to manage when the public transport is not developed. It’s still possible to limit your usage to the essentials though…or maybe optimize what you can do in one trip instead of making a several separated runs… I’m just trying to find some tips
I know what it’s like being left on your own with no public transport and I feel very lucky to live in a city where transport is so much easier now.
Kids sure bring pressure to have a car. I have a little girl myself and I thought I would have to keep the car because of that…but it turns out to be easier than we thought to manage without using ours. As an added bonus, she learns to live in our world without relying on cars. That said, when we absolutely need it (and we sometimes do), we’ll still have the car sharing service which I find really amazing. You reserve in advance for the car (which are parked in several spots around the city) and pay by the distance and time you had it for. Great stuff
Oh and by the way, I’m really going to try and shoot something less political next week. I like my green-themed shots but I want to focus on the bare photography

I’ve been a member of the Car Sharing service for more than 1 year now and I would never look back. It might be a strange thing to say but I feel more free than I have ever been when I had my own car (I don’t have to bother to change parking space to follow street cleaning schedules and get it out of the snow during winter).
